We are seeking experienced tutors who are good listeners, excellent communicators, great supporters, spectacular classroom managers, and can recognize and respond to each student\\\'s unique needs. Tutors with experience in relationship-driven tutoring are preferred as we seek to establish longer-term relationships with our clients and are not a \\\"rotating\\\" program that focuses on one-off sessions.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and classroom management and should have a proven track record of success in helping students achieve their academic goals. A successful candidate will also be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills who can build positive relationships with students to create an atmosphere where learning can take place. Whether it\\\'s preparing for tests, improving academic performance, or building essential study skills, Commonwealth Tutoring is dedicated to helping students succeed in a supportive and professional environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in various subjects
• Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each students needs
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support
• Prepare students for tests and exams, including standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT
• Build positive relationships with students and parents, maintaining open communication and a supportive learning environment
• Improve the educational performance of students in mathematics, natural sciences, and social sciences.
• Recommend materials and other study aids to help students learn and master course material.
• Advise and guide students on their academic progress, study habits, and career goals.
• Prepare and administer benchmark tests and surveys.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience when you have at least an Associate\\\'s degree or Certification
• Minimum of 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience without a degree or certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with students of all ages and levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Knowledge of TutorBird helps
• Flexible availability
